This site’s layout matches its name very well. If you click it, you’ll see what I mean. Basically if you want to learn a computer language, this is a good site to start. You can choose between a variety of languages, so it isn’t limited to just C++, for example.

Okay, this site doesn’t look legitimate when the page first loads, but don’t judge yet. Google tricks aren’t necessary to learn, but they are very, very helpful. I mean just typing in a few phrases in Google for your every day what-nots works fine, but what if you have a research paper due? Your teacher expects, no..requires, that you find scholarly journals about very specific topics. When you learn these google searching tips, it makes the process way less strenuous.

This site doesn’t have educational resources on it, but it lists numerous OTHER sites where you can find great FREE course material. For example, MIT lecture you tube videos are one of the sites they have listed.

Codeacademy is one of the only programming websites that presents you a step by step tutorial to learn java. The great thing about it, in my opinion, is the way the tutorial feels like a game. Check it out if you are interested in java, but have no experiencing using it.

One of my favorite websites. I wrote an article on HackCollege about this site because I really want others to know about it. Ifttt stands for “if then, then that”. Every social media outlet, blogging site, even GMAIL can be used by the user to create a “recipe”. For example, IF [you take a photo on instagram] THEN [that photo will be uploaded to Evernote]. That’s just one example, but there are so many more you can browse or create. It makes life easier to manage.
